Jessica Carnevale is the founder of Carnevale Studio, based in New York. She trained in industrial design at RISD then spent a decade as a commercial designer for Marcel Wanders, Tom Dixon, Restoration Hardware, Alexandra Champalimaud, Habitat, Dwell Studio and West Elm, before launching her eponymous studio.
With her debut collection “Stretch”, Jessica wanted to bring some of the exuberance of the fashion world into her designs. She experimented with a number of different materials and chose latex, bungee and rope for their bright colors and wondrous elasticity. Built by Jessica in her studio in Brooklyn she made a simple chair to better frame the compositions that she created. The result is a collection of vivid pieces, after all, design should be beautiful and useful, but also fun.
